Rebuild Prattsville sets Housing Expo and Show

2/21/2012

As part of the Rebuild Prattsville effort, the Prattsville Housing Committee will be hosting a "Housing Expo & Home Improvement Show" on March 3 (with a snow date of March 10) at the fire house in Prattsville.
The expo is Phase I of a two-part long-term community recovery project conceived and created by the Housing Committee.
Phase II will be a Housing Resource Center which is planned to open early to mid-spring and will provide ongoing assistance to local homeowners.
Annie Hull, the committee chair, said the expo will be a benefit for homeowners at all phases of rebuilding.
"Homeowners will benefit by being able to meet and discuss projects with many vendors at one time," she added.
Vendors representing all phases of the building, rebuilding, and repair process will be on hand to answer any questions, offer services, provide information and assist the residents of Prattsville and the surrounding communities with their housing needs.
Anticipated vendors include government, nonprofit organizations, green building groups, mortgage lenders, historic preservationists, architects, real estate agencies, housing specialists, landscapers, and contractors in building, painting, electrical, plumbing and masonry.
The Housing Expo & Home Improvement Show is open to the public, free of charge, from 10am-6pm.
For more information or, if you would like to be a vendor, contact Ms. Hull, at 299-3278 or email her at dadmhull@aol.com.
