If you’ve got a better idea than the Schoharie Central School Biscuits, you better get your email in.
Deadline for suggestions for the new SCS mascot is Monday, February 27; email ideas to SCSMascot@schoharieschools.org.
In a brief update on the mascot search Thursday, SCS Superintendent Dave Blanchard said he’s gotten hundreds of emails and he’s keeping all of the ideas on a spreadsheet.
“It’s the best part of my day, reading suggestions from the kids,” he said.
Presumably, that’s where the Biscuits came from.

Beginning in early March, Mr. Blanchard said Athletic Director Dave Russell and Public Information Specialist Jake Palmateer will begin sorting through the suggestions, narrowing them down to four or five for district-wide voting.
