Schoharie County Public Transportation announces a partnership with Token Transit to provide fare collection via a smart phone application.
With the launch of the new app, Schoharie County transit riders can now purchase their fare using debit and credit cards.
Route deviations are not included in the Token Transit app, but can still be purchased with tokens or cash.
Using the application comes with an additional perk—frequent riders have the option of saving money by purchasing daily and monthly passes.
Passes can even be purchased by one person and sent to another via email.
The Token Transit application is available for both Android and Apple phones.
For Android phone users, the application can be found at the Google Play store.
For Apple users, the app can be found at the App Store.
The application can also be downloaded from the Token Transit website at tokentransit.com.
