Cobleskill has the cure for Cabin Fever

1/30/2019

Cobleskill will banish the winter blues with a week of activities starting Saturday.
Cobleskill Partnership Inc. is sponsoring the annual Cabin Fever Day this Saturday and is also offering Restaurant Week from Saturday through Sunday the 10th.
An art show follows on February 8-10.
For Cabin Fever Day, the Community Library has cartoons and cereal in the morning. Arts and crafts will be available at The Studio for Art and Craft and also at Games A Plunder.
New this year for Cabin Fever is a scavenger hunt to find Phil the Groundhog. Games A Plunder will have fact sheets, and each business will provide answers for the fact sheets. Players can fill out the fact sheet and return it to Games A Plunder for a chance to win a gift basket worth $50.
Catnap Books will have cider and cookies, and the shops at the Park View Plaza, across from Centre Park, will have activities for families. Tagua Nut will offer free hot chocolate and coffee.
There’s also ice skating at Golding Park.
For Restaurant Week, participating restaurants will have specials priced at $20.19––the year––and will also have discounts through the week.
Participating in Restaurant Week are the Bull’s Head Inn, Chieftan’s, Brick House Bakery, Tagua Nut, Cobleskill Diner, Justine’s, Serious Brewing and Locomotions.
The art show will be in the Yoga Den in Park View Plaza and will feature several local artists who use different media.
On Saturday the 9th from 2pm-4pm there will be ‘Art Spark,’ where artists will create and finish their work in two hours. From 4pm-6pm, there will be a reception and a chance to meet the artists.
A silent auction of this work will be done at Arts in the Park this summer with proceeds going to Friends of the Fourth.
